WorkAdvance is unique because we use a sector-based, dual-customer proven model to meet the needs of job seekers and employers. We provide job seekers with no-cost technical training, job placement and extensive career coaching services. All training and services are targeted in power sectors, like manufacturing and healthcare, to provide businesses with skilled, qualified and certified workers to help businesses scale and remain competitive in our economy.

WorkAdvance was part of a five-year randomized controlled trial (RCT) research study with four national sites to test the effectiveness of the WorkAdvance model. This rigorous evaluation compared a program group that received WorkAdvance services to a control group that did not receive services. Through the study, the WorkAdvance model has been proven to help people earn more money, complete training, find employment and secure a job with benefits and advancement opportunities.

Compared to the control group, WorkAdvance participants:

  • Earn $4,125 more in wages per year
  • Greater job satisfaction
  • More jobs that offer employer-provided benefits
